Konami has announced that the free game Silent Hill: The Short Message has achieved over three million downloads worldwide since its initial launch at the end of January 2024.
The title achieved two million downloads back in February 2024.
Silent Hill: The Short Message is an experimental endeavor for this storied series. It focuses on the protagonist, Anita, who is stuck in an apartment complex infamous for its suicides. Within this abode, she receives messages from her friend Maya, and her own sense of reality erodes as she progresses and encounters otherworldly monstrosities.
According to Maya, Anita is searching for something that she needs to find in order to escape, but the question of what she’s seeking is unknown.
