Nintendo has announced that the digital version of the Square Enix turn-based JRPG Octopath Traveler is temporarily no longer available for purchase via the Nintendo Switch eShop. No reasoning was given for this removal, but it has been discovered that the listed publisher has been changed from Nintendo to Square Enix, which likely plays a partial part in this development.
As a result, many think the first Octopath Traveler may finally greet PlayStation platforms, joining the second mainline entry’s degree of availability. This is just speculation, but it would be an appreciated move to enhance access to the titles, making it all more convenient. Currently, the first Octopath Traveler is only available on Switch, Xbox, and PC via Steam. (Updated to include Xbox)
