Playtonic Games has published the Steam Store page for Yooka-Replaylee, an unannounced 3D collectathon platformer, which is the enhanced definitive version of the original 2017 game. Fans can anticipate new challenges, secrets, mechanics, and accessibility toggles.
This release will feature an orchestral soundtrack, a map, a new currency, and several customization options. Based on the Steam Store page descriptions, this sounds like an entirely new game.
More specifically, the animations and art have been overhauled, performance and resolution have been enhanced, and improvements have been made to existing in-game challenges alongside the incorporation of new ones. The new currency is dropped by the minions of the antagonist Capital B.
The new world map is accompanied by a challenges tracker to communicate progress more transparently. Moreover, Tonics have returned with the option to equip multiple game-altering enhancements, enabling individualized player customization. Vendi has new merchandise, too. The moveset has also been tweaked for greater fluidity when combining moves.
