Capcom has announced that the original Resident Evil 3 will be released on PC via GOG on September 25, 2024. Fans wishlist the title on its store page.
Resident Evil 3 follows Jill Valentine after resigning from S.T.A.R.S. and preparing to leave Raccoon City. However, she becomes caught in a zombie outbreak hours before the events of Resident Evil 2. Further, secrets about the Umbrella Corporation’s goals are unveiled.
Players can anticipate numerous features from this GOG port, including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese localizations, Mercenaries Mode, and an improved DirectX game renderer. New rendering options for windowed mode, vertical synchronization control, gamma correction, and integer scaling are also available.
Other features include improved graphics engine initialization, video subtitles, option dialogue, issue-less task switching, improved mouse cursor visibility, and full modern controller support with button binding.
Capcom recently announced that the original Resident Evil 2 was released on PC via GOG on August 27, 2024. The first game was released on the platform two months ago.
Capcom also announced that Koshi Nakanishi will direct a new Resident Evil game. Details weren’t provided on this project, but Nakanishi is excited to share when the time comes.
