NIS America has announced that the Nippon Ichi Software tactical RPG Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered will be released digitally for PlayStation 5 on November 7, 2024.
Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered follows Ash, a resident of a small island in Ivoire. He becomes a Phantom after dying in battle and encounters Marona, a youth who can communicate with Phantoms. She sometimes receives Bottlemails that float throughout the sea.
Marona lost her parents at a young age, and she makes a living by fulfilling the requests found within the Bottlemails. Her occupation is that of a Chroma, one who does freelance work to solve peoples’ problems. However, the reputation of her ability to speak with those who have passed on has earned her the irksome name the “Possessed,” sometimes resulting in clients not paying her.
Still, she continues her work and follows her family motto, hoping that eventually, everyone will start to like her after she has helped them enough. Her ultimate goal is to save enough money to buy Phantom Isle, which she’s currently renting.
The original game is available via Prinny Presents NIS Classics Vol. 1 on Nintendo Switch and PC.
Phantom Brave The Lost Hero will be released worldwide on January 30, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on January 30, 2025.
Afterward, the title will be released on PC via Steam sometime in Spring 2025. Further, a demo is planned for later this year.
