PM Studios and Studio Kumiho announced their adventure RPG Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game will be delayed on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam from its planned August 15 release to September 19, 2024. The month delay gives the developer time to address bugs found during quality assurance checks and deliver a product that fans have been waiting for.
Studio Kumiho shared in a social post, “Hey all, this is true, we will be delaying the release of Cricket by one more month to deliver a better game to you all! Thank you all for supporting us up until this point, not much longer now!”
Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game picks up after the protagonist, Jae, suffers from a devastating loss. Instead of accepting fate, he gathers his friends to journey to the gates of Yimmelia to test out a rumor that will grant any wish.
During gameplay, players will explore various locals, including cities, forests, and dungeons. Five characters join the party and can participate in battles. The battles are turn-based and each character has a unique set of skills that players can customize. Further, an attack meter builds during a fight to be used for a duo or trio attack. Players can interact with NPCs in various ways that may upset them, but actions have consequences. The soundtrack is composed by Shane Mesa and Tomoya Tomita.
