PQube announced the Mages-developed slice-of-life mystery SINce Memories: Off the Starry Sky will launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on October 23, 2024. The publisher has confirmed a physical release on PS4, that Switch will be available, and that the game will be playable on Steam deck.
SINce Memories: Off the Starry Sky is the latest installment in the long-running Memories Off series, known for its compelling stories of love, loss, and personal growth. This entry, set ten years after the events of the original, follows Junya Mizumoto, a university student still reeling from the death of his brother in a tragic accident. The story takes a mysterious turn when a strange girl tells Junya that he should have been the one to die. This haunting encounter sets him on a path to uncover the truth about his brother’s death, while also working to renovate the traditional Hojo manor alongside his childhood friend, Chihaya Hojo.
The visual novel features multiple routes for players to explore, allowing them to build relationships with five heroines: Chihaya, Hinata, Chunyu, Yuriko, and Azusa. The game stands out with its phenomenal artwork by U35, combined with a rich narrative written by well-known scenario writers from titles like Steins;Gate 0 and Fate/Zero. Fully voiced in Japanese, the game captures the emotional depth of each character, further enriched by a moving soundtrack composed by Takeshi Abo, known for his work on Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head. Fans of visual novels and deep, character-driven narratives are sure to find a touching experience here.
