The upcoming HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest III showed new footage during the Nintendo Partner Showcase in August 2024, showing off several new features.
The remake will add the ability to customize the appearance of your party in addition to their classes and abilities, and a brand-new Monster Wrangler job that looks visually inspired by the recent Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince protagonist. The new job will allow players to use monster abilities in combat after learning them, similar to sister series Final Fantasy‘s Blue Mage recurring job.
Pre-orders are now available via the Switch eShop alongside all other platforms. The Trouble-Free Travel Kit with Elevating Shoes, Seed of Defence x3, Seed of Agility x3, Seed of Magic x3, Seed of Strength x3, and Seed of Life x3 will be granted as pre-order bonuses.
Dragon Quest III will be released for all platforms on November 14, 2024. You can check out the new mini-trailer below.
