Sony has announced the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, which will include several notable items from the company.
This package will feature the Limited Edition PS5 Digital Edition console and matching accessories – DualSense wireless controller, Console Cover for Disc Drive (Disc Drive sold separately), vertical stand, poster (1 of 30 possible designs), original PlayStation-style cable connector housing, four PlayStation Shapes cable ties, PlayStation sticker and paperclip.
Alternatively, the PlayStation 5 Pro – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle includes the Limited Edition PS5 Pro console and matching accessories – DualSense Edge wireless controller, DualSense Charging Station, and all items included in the PS5 Digital Edition Bundle.
Lastly, 30th Anniversary Limited Editions of the PlayStation Portal Remote player, DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, and a DualSense Wireless controller will be available.
There will be 12,300 PlayStation 5 Pro Console—30th Anniversary Limited Edition units, and shipments will occur on November 21, 2024.
Pre-orders will begin on September 26, 2024.
The upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro boasts a larger GPU and increased the speed of its rendering by 45%; the ray-tracing has been upgraded at double or even triple the speeds of the base PlayStation 5, and custom hardware for machine learning and an online library called PlayStation Specual Super Resolution (PSSR) provide AI-driven upscaling.
