While I’ve been click-clacking away on my Razer Huntsman Elite for the past two months in my one-bedroom New York City apartment–likely annoying both the neighbors and my dog–the keyboard has unsurprisingly become the best-selling gaming keyboard in the United States.
Razer is, after all, the most popular gaming peripheral company, so it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that their flagship keyboard has followed suit, according to the NPD Group, U.S. Retail Tracking Service.
The Hunstman Elite was initially released in 2018 and features, among other things, Razer’s fan-favorite purple, optical switches, and wrist rest with full CHROMA integration. Personally, I’ve been using this keyboard as my daily driver between matches of Valorant and my mandatory work from home. The switches feel incredibly reactive during matches, and the wrist wrest saves me from the early-onset carpal tunnel.
Between optical switches and haptics in headphones, Razer has shown that it is eager to try new things. While it took two years for the Huntsman Elite to become the country’s best-selling keyboard, it’s clear that consumers are willing to try new things, especially when they come from Razer and especially after the company shifted towards more industry-standard warranties.
The Razer Huntsman Elite retails for USD 199.99.
