As June approaches, so too does the halfway mark of 2024. While the first half of the year has given us a plethora of quality titles such as Stellar Blade, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and many more, the year is not even half over with even more games to come. Let’s take a look at 10 games released in June 2024 to add to your backlogs.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance | NS, PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX | June 14, 2024
Shin Megami Tensei V is escaping its Nintendo Switch exclusivity and taking its talents to every other console (and also the Nintendo Switch again) with Vengeance. The re-release will feature new story paths, gameplay elements, redesigned demons, and more. As the definitive version of Shin Megami Tensei V, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a must-play for fans of the series and could be worth a look for anyone with a general interest in the genre or spinoffs of the game.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble | NS | June 25, 2024
The Super Monkey Ball games have been around since 2001, bringing its arcade platform gameplay to a variety of consoles over the years. Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is the latest iteration of the franchise on the Nintendo Switch, featuring a new move: the Spin Dash. This move will allow players to dash under speed to reach shortcuts. The game features a number of multiplayer options, but its lighthearted gameplay is what will keep us coming back to the franchise with each entry.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD | NS | June 27, 2024
Sure, the Nintendo Switch’s position as Nintendo’s current console might be coming to an end soon, but the games keep coming, with Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD being next. If the quality of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is any indication, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD should also serve as another high-quality Nintendo title. With Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD (also known originally as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon) coming to the Nintendo Switch, only the first Luigi’s Mansion remains missing from the console. However, it was ported to the Nintendo 3DS back in 2018.
Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon | NS, PS4 | June 27, 2024
Tsukihime was the first visual novel developed by TYPE-MOON, making it the very first game written by Kinoko Nasu of Fate/Stay Night fame in partnership with illustrator Takashi Takeuchi. Though the title shares much of its in-universe lore with other Nasu works, its focus was instead on serial killing cases and vampires. As a classic visual novel, this title is a no-brainer recommendation for fans of the genre, as well as anyone with even a slight interest.
SPYxANYA: Operation Memories | NS, PS4, PS5 | June 28, 2024
Spy x Family fans look no further; SPYxANYA: Operation Memories brings another gaming experience for fans. As part of a school assignment, Anya Forger must create a photo diary of memories. The game will include attending school, spending time with family, and going on excursions while making memories and taking pictures. The game features a variety of minigames, costumes for multiple characters, and interactions with even more characters.
Mushoku Tensei jobless reincarnation Quest of Memories | NS, PC, PS4, PS5 | June 20, 2024
Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Quest of Memories is, as one might expect, based on Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. The game gives players the chance to explore the world of the series via a first-person dungeon-crawling experience. Players will be able to build a party with their favorite characters, develop their Skill Tree, and enjoy a variety of modes and features, including Roxy’s Restaurant.
Still Wakes the Deep | PC, PS5, XSX | June 18, 2024
Still Wakes the Deep is a psychological horror title from The Chinese Room, marking the studio’s return to the first-person narrative horror genre. As an off-shore oil rig worker, a storm has cut off communication lines and exit paths. Players will have to survive the catastrophic event, rescue others, weather the storm, and even evade a mysterious creature. At its core, Still Wakes the Deep is shaping up to be a narrative experience that is a must-play for anyone who enjoys cinematic experiences.
Monster Hunter Stories Collection | NS, PC, PS4 | June 14, 2024
The Monster Hunter Stories games have been all over the place, with the original releasing on the Nintendo 3DS and then mobile, and the sequel heading to the Nintendo Switch and the PC. Now, Monster Hunter Stories Collections brings both games (which remasters Monster Hunter Stories) to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. This marks the first time the original game leaves mobile-only devices and either game comes to the PlayStation. While the mainline Monster Hunter games feature an action-oriented combat system, Monster Hunter Stories takes a different pace with its turn-based system.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree | PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX | June 21, 2024
Easily the biggest and most anticipated piece of DLC for 2024, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, could also vy for Game of the Year status when it is all said and done. As one of the biggest titles of 2022 and perhaps FromSoftware’s most ambitious title, Elden Ring has barely left the spotlight since its release; with the base game’s prestigious background supporting it, Shadow of the Erdtree will likely be the talk of the gaming landscape for the next couple months at least.
Until Then| PS5, PC | June 25, 2024
Until Then combines elements of slice-of-life with a compelling mystery, challenging players to uncover hidden truths and solve the enigma before time runs out. The narrative-driven gameplay ensures a rich, emotionally charged story filled with unexpected twists. Players will need to make choices that impact the storyline, providing a unique experience with each playthrough. Until Then offers a deep, immersive narrative that intertwines the ordinary with the extraordinary, making it a standout title for fans of story-focused games.

MonHun! MonHun! MonHun! Tsukihime! MonHun!
Has the Noisy Pixel team considered adding a sort option (i.e., highest to lowest rating or sorting by console platform) to allow visitors to filter through reviews in hopes of finding hidden gems? It appears that only a select number of reviews have rating numbers in the top right corners of thumbnails. I’m sure others would greatly appreciate this option as well.
