Crunchyroll announced they are teaming up with A Plus Japan to publish the Perfect World-developed RPG Lord of Nazarick, a mobile RPG set in the Overlord anime universe. The publisher shared they will launch the game on iOS and Android devices this fall, with pre-registration open now.
Lord of Nazarick is set to launch in conjunction with Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom’s global theatrical release, beginning on November 8 in the U.S. and Canada. This game aims to offer a fresh perspective for both new and long-time fans of the Overlord anime, currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
Upon launch, Lord of Nazarick will be the first game to fully implement Crunchyroll Login—a new feature enhancing the free-to-play experience for Crunchyroll Premium members. Across all global versions of the game, players that log in as a Crunchyroll Premium member will receive special rewards, including in-game currency, a battle pass, and exclusive access to Crunchyroll events.
Perfect World is a developer known for its recent release of Tower of Fantasy.
In Lord of Nazarick, players take on the role of Momonga, who becomes trapped in the world of his favorite MMORPG as Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown. The game features strategic battles, where players can build teams from over 50 characters from the anime, with more to be added through regular updates. Players can explore iconic locations from the Overlord world, like the Great Tomb of Nazarick and E-Rantel, while engaging in various modes such as roguelite dungeons, boss challenges, and PVP combat. Fans can also enjoy stunning 3D visuals and animations that bring the beloved characters to life.
