Crunchyroll shared the official trailer for the western theatrical release of Trapezium. Pre-order tickets are now available through Fandango for showing across the United States and Canada. The movie will air on September 18, yes, one day only.
Trapezium follows the story of Yu Azuma as she strives to form an idol girl group, exploring the struggles they face and the bonds of friendship they build while navigating the idol industry.
Distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the film will have a one-day theatrical release in select theaters on September 18, presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
Adapted from Kazumi Takayama’s novel Trapezium and produced by Cloverworks, the movie is directed by Masahiro Shinohara. The theme song, “It’s Nothing” (Nanmonai), is performed by VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei and sakuma.
In the film, Yu recruits three girls from different high schools to form the idol group “Compass Rose.” Alongside Ranko Katori, Kurumi Taiga, and Mika Kamei, they set out on their journey toward stardom. However, as the pressures of fame mount, the group begins to question whether their dreams are worth the sacrifices they must make.
