Thunderful and Space Lizard Studio have released a ghoulish new trailer for Paper Cut Mansion, their upcoming roguelite horror title.
Set in a world crafted out of cardboard, Paper Cut Mansion has players explore the titular mansion one floor at a time as a police detective named Toby. You must fight off enemies, solve puzzles, and finish quests that grant new abilities, all with the goal of uncovering the mystery behind the frightening mansion.
Space Lizard Studios’ Gabriele Caruso spoke about the inspiration for the game:
“I’m really excited to give people a first look at this intricate paper world we’ve been crafting. We wanted to create something unique, but that draws inspiration from the classic 80s and 90s works of Tim Burton and Jim Henson. The team has worked really hard to create a mysterious and visually appealing world that’s going to draw players in, and provide them with a compelling roguelite loop that’s going to keep them coming back. I can’t wait to tell you more about the game as we get closer to release!”
Paper Cut Mansion is set to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC this year. For more information, check out the trailer above.
