This morning, the official Tales of series Twitter account announced that Tales of Arise, the latest console Tales game, will be collaborating with Scarlet Nexus soon. This crossover, which takes the form of cosmetic and weapon DLC, allows Alphen to use a sword based on Yuito’s katana from Scarlet Nexus, as well as a head accessory. Scarlet Nexus will get some crossover DLC of its own, allowing Yuito to use Alphen’s Blazing Blade, as well as his broken mask. Co-founder of Rocksteady Games and Creative Director of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Sefton Hill, has announced on Twitter that the game will, unfortunately, be delayed until Spring 2023. A humorous mini-video in the tweet further confirms this, which many have suspected for quite a long while. Kill the Justice League was originally set to release later this year, but an internal report from a month or so ago said that WB Games had chosen to delay the game to Spring of next year. Developer Tony the Fish and Publisher Critical Reflex took to today’s GDC Indie MIX to announce Being & Becoming, an all-new side-scrolling Metroidvania game. In Being & Becoming, you play as a Lucid Dreamer who must venture into a seaside kingdom to wake it from its people from their corrupted slumber. Fervir Games and Graffiti Games have announced that they will be working together to launch Creature Keeper, the upcoming monster-taming RPG. The announcement was made at the MIX showcase today as part of GDC. Creature Keeper has players tame and fight alongside monsters in real-time. You can create parties of creatures and power them up in various ways, such as by cooking for them, crafting trinkets for them, and more. Sega and Ryu ga Gotoku Studios have shared yet another short trailer for the upcoming Lost Judgment DLC story, The Kaito Files. This time, the trailer focuses on Stealth Mode, which is pretty much what it sounds like. Kaito is able to stealthily sneak around and surprise unexpecting foes with distractions and brutal knock-outs, as one would expect from Kaito. Marvelous and Nintendo have released a launch trailer for Rune Factory 5, which just released for the Nintendo Switch today. The launch trailer gives players a look at the whimsical story of Rune Factory 5, as well as the various different types of gameplay. The player character can be seen harvesting crops, taking care of farm animals, riding a variety of creatures, and battling enemies and bosses with a number of different weapons and attacks. Illfonic has announced Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game that lets players be both the Ghostbusters and, for the first time, the ghosts. As Ghostbusters, players will speak with and get missions from one of the iconic Ghostbusters themselves, Winston Zeddemore (voiced by Ernie Hudson,) and meet other old favorites like Ray Stantz. CD Projekt Red took to their official website to announce that the next entry in the Witcher franchise is already in development. The company says that this newest installment is set to begin “a new saga” for the franchise, though that’s about all we know about the upcoming title narrative-wise. French news outlet Allocine has reported that A Plague Tale: Innocence is the next game franchise to be turned into a television show, this time by production company Merlin Productions. Director Mathieu Turi tweeted about the news, saying: “I’m honored to work on the adaptation as a TV series of A Plague Tale. Thank you to Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment for their trust. Red Candle Games, developers of acclaimed horror titles Detention and Devotion, have announced through their official Twitter account that their next game has been funded through their own store. The KickStarter-esque platform has raised NT$ 4,039,862 as of writing this, which is approximately $141,723.43 USD. Following a report by GamesBeat about accusations of an abusive workplace, Microsoft has apparently parted ways with Moon Studios.
