Warner Bros. Games announced via Twitter that the team plans to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy by bringing the former PlayStation-exclusive content to all platforms. The statement reads, “As we near the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game. Stay tuned in the coming months for more details on what’s coming to Hogwarts Legacy this year.”
Currently, there isn’t an exact time frame for the content, but it’s good news for fans who were looking forward to the PlayStation-exclusive events such as the Haunted Hogsmeade quest, which opens the Hogsmeade Show with extra cosmetics. This content will be available across Xbox, Switch, and PC platforms. Further updates are also likely planned to coincide with the anniversary.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG where players will experience the Wizarding World during the 1800s. Players will assume the role of a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens the wizarding world.
During gameplay, players can make choices as they develop allies, fight Dark wizards, and attend classes. Much of the game is up to the players and how they approach missions. Further, there are classes to attend and bonds to form, with a great degree of choice in how they choose to interact with other characters.
The title was previously confirmed to have sold over 12 million units worldwide across all platforms, resulting in $850 million earned during its first two weeks of release.
