Day 4 Night Studios has officially announced the launch of their studio, as per a post on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. The studio has also provided a press release with more information. The studio will be co-directed by Christian Cantamessa (Red Dead Redemption, Shadow of Mordor, Perfect Dark) and Davide Soliani (Mario + Rabbids series, Rayman in the Phantom Show).
It has also been announced that the first round of funding has been secured, and that it was led by KRAFTON, Inc. Additionally, it goes on to discuss the studio’s focus on originality, innovation, and creating new content that pushes storytelling and game design. The press release also provides quotes from both Cantamessa and Davide Soliani:
“When I first fell in love with videogames at the start of my career, I saw the power of this new medium to tell stories never told before and create worlds that could transform people,” said Cantamessa. “Day 4 Night is a return to that innovative spirit, to that innocence, to that unbridled creativity.”
“What we are crafting at Day 4 Night is a reflection of everything I’ve ever wanted to experience as a player – joy, adventure, poetry, action, wonder, and the pleasure of working with friends,” said Soliani. “It’s a lullaby for my soul and a serenade to our industry, to the magic and the madness of creating worlds from nothing. It’s a story about triumphs, challenges, dreams, to light the path we walk together.”
