Per a report by Nintendo Everything, PlatinumGames has gained ownership of The Wonderful 101 trademark, as identified by a listing on the United States Patent and Trademark Office website. Originally released exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U, The Wonderful 101 was given the remaster treatment for release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered contains updated graphics and visuals, but the team wanted to focus on the UI experience. There were some points that director Hideki Kamiya didn’t think aged well with the original release, and this allowed him to go back and fine-tune the game along with the rest of the team. This release also marks the first time the game will be available on a non-Nintendo platform, which will surely expand its audience.
The Wonderful 101 is an action-adventure game released on the Wii U in 2013. The game runs at 60fps and allows players to take control of a group of superheroes and take on evil villains. Players are able to explore levels and assist citizens in need as well as gain new superheroes to add to their group. This allows them to morph into stronger objects, solve puzzles, and gain access to new areas of the environment.
