During the development of the game, we worked with several top 2D animation teams in China to create six animated shorts for each chapter ending of #BlackMythWukong. We have uploaded the original versions of these animations to YouTube for everyone to enjoy. (Note: These animations contain spoilers.)
Black Myth: Wukong is based on a significant classical novel in Chinese literature, Journey to the West, having players control the Destined One on a journey to discover a veiled truth from the past.
As the Heroic Monkey, you’ll face numerously unique foes using spells, transformations, and magic vessels. Further, you’ll be able to master multiple staff techniques and combine equipment and abilities to find your ideal play style.
Full Ray Tracing in Black Myth: Wukong provides innumerable details for water caustics, reflections, refractions, lighting for outdoor and indoor environments, and shadows. A new trailer highlights these effects. You can view the full NVIDIA blog post for additional details, including for other games.
Black Myth: Wukong is available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
