Cult Classic Visual Novel Fate/Stay Night has a worldwide release date of August 8th, TYPE-Moon has revealed. It’ll be available on Nintendo Switch, and Steam, with store pages up now.
The title will launch with language support for English, Chinese and Japanese.
Unlike Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night Remastered will not be available on PlayStation consoles, or at least has not been announced for them at present.
Fate/Stay Night is a classic visual novel developed by Type-Moon and released exclusively in Japan in 2004. Since then, the game received various ports and enhanced editions over the years. The Fate/Stay Night Remastered release will not include the 18+ scenes from the original PC version.
Since its inception, the series has spanned multiple adaptions to other media, sequels, and popular games. The latest of which was Fate/Samurai Remnant, a partnership between Type-Moon, Aniplex, and Koei Tecmo.
In Fate/Stay Night, we accompany Emiya Shirou, a young man who ends up caught in the middle of the Holy Grail War. This competition has seven mage Masters and heroic figures called Servants fighting brutally for a powerful wish-granting relic.
With the remaster, this will be the first official release of Fate/Stay Night in English. After the English editions of Witch on the Holy Night and Tsukihime remake, this will mean the biggest releases from Type-Moon will all be available in official form for Western fans in 2024.
