Koei Tecmo has shared a new trailer for Fairy Tail 2. It showcases an overview of the upcoming RPG and the many elements that compose it.
Fairy Tail 2 is the second game made in a collaboration between Koei Tecmo’s Gust and the Hiro Mashima shounen manga series Fairy Tail. The new game adapts the series’ final arc, the Alvarez Empire.
Unlike the previous game, this time, we’ll have a real-time battle system like the one used in the Ryza series. Players can swap characters and use various combos to destroy the enemies’ break gauges and eliminate them.
As the characters use various skills and perform link attacks with their party, the team will also increase “Fairy Rank,” providing boosts and increasing how many skills they can combo.
The video also showcases enhancing individual magic through the Magic Origins menu. There, players can unlock new skills and improve their stats.
Unlocking extra stories in Fairy Tail 2 can also form bonds between guild members, and the game will include a brand new story after the Alvarez Empire arc is complete.
Along with the new trailer, the company also shared some character renders for the Fairy Tail members Mirajane Strauss, Laxus Dreyar, and Gildarts, as well as the Spriggan 13 antagonists Wall Eehto, Jacob Lessio, God Serena, and August:
