Masala Games Private Limited has shared a new demo for Detective Dotson on Steam. It’ll be possible to check on a bit of the quirky Bollywood-inspired adventure from August 15 to August 22, 2024.
As a young man who never wanted to become a detective, we must explore modern day India to look for clues for various crimes. In the process, we can use various disguises, which can help with entering into places and talking to certain people.
The protagonist loves acting and would rather have been in Bollywood than solving crimes. As such, Detective Dotson sometimes goes from the investigations to dance-offs, and depicts India with colorful, exaggerated elements.
In the demo, we get to solve one of the cases in the game. In this mystery revolving around Mrs. Sengupta, we need to figure out why this aunt figure has been blacklisted from a kitty party. The disguise and side-quest systems are also part of the demo, allowing players to get a taste of exploring beyond the main plot.
Detective Dotson is coming to PC in Q4 2024 though a specific date has yet to be revealed. We’ll be sure to let you know as Masala Games announces more information in the future.
