Yuki Ishikawa, the producer of the upcoming Tales of Graces f Remastered, was recently interviewed by IGN. In addition to this upcoming project, Ishikawa discussed broadening the franchise’s reach to a vaster audience.
For instance, he revealed that the team is not looking to initiate platform exclusivity for future releases, as they want the series on as many platforms as possible.
On a more personal note, Ishikawa stated his desire to remaster Tales of the Abyss, which is one of the reasons he joined Bandai Namco in the first place. Tales of the Abyss is my favorite entry in the franchise, so I, too, would like to see this possibility come to fruition. Tales of the Abyss is currently only available on PlayStation 2 and 3DS.
You can view some of Ishikawa’s quoted comments below:
In the past there were certain titles that were platform exclusive, but as of this moment and in terms of the current direction of the Tales of team, they’re not looking to have the title or any upcoming titles to be platform exclusive.
We want to bring Tales Of to a wider audience. So we think one of the ways is by having it available on as many platforms as possible.”

If [a Tales of the Abyss remaster] could happen and I could share that joy with the rest of the fans, that’s something I’ll work hard towards.

Tales of Graces f Remastered will be released on January 17, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
This standard physical release in the West costs $39.99. However, it’s worth noting that only the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will have physical versions, while the Xbox and PlayStation 4 releases will seemingly have digital-only releases.
The Digital Deluxe edition will feature the full game, a digital art book, a digital soundtrack with 112 songs, the Battle BGM Pack, and the Super Growth Support Herb Set. Additionally, pre-orders, regardless of whether they are digital or physical, will grant ten Appel Gels, Grape Gels, Life Bottles, and Panacea Bottles.
The digital art book is an excerpt from the “Tales of Graces Official Complete Guide” published in 2010 and the “Tales of Graces f Official Complete Guide” published in 2011.
This entry is the tenth mainline game by Namco Tales Studio, with Tales of Legendia and Tales of Innocence being the two exceptions. Tales of Graces was initially a Japan-exclusive Wii title released in 2009 before it received an enhanced re-release known as Tales of Graces f for the PlayStation 3 in 2010. The West would receive this updated iteration over a year later.
