Today, IGN featured 11-minutes of gameplay from THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games upcoming sequel Darksiders III, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 27.
The gameplay shows just how capable new protagonist Fury is in her role as sister Horseman of the Apocalypse. Additionally, players get a preview of exploring dungeons and how they’ll be able to execute combos and abilities. From what we can see the level shown is dark in tone as well as setting. There’s also a variety of enemy types and collectible materials that can be used to upgrade Fury’s stats.
Darksiders III takes place during the events of Darksiders II. Players will explore the world as Fury and gain access to her full arsenal of magic abilities as well as her weapon, a whip.
The game features hack and slash combat as the player must fight their way through multiple levels and learn more about the state of a war-torn planet Earth.
Publisher THQ Nordic has also published, de Blob, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, and most recently, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-stored for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Gunfire Games had recently developed a co-operative VR rogue-lite game titled From Other Suns for the Oculus Rift.
