Playism release the launch trailer for the Amamori Lab developed item management RPG Ark Noir, coming to PC-via Steam and Playism on July 12.
The trailer gives players a preview of the game’s deep resource management systems as they progress through the game’s narrative aboard a ship known as the Noir. Sadly, this isn’t some royalty cruise as the ship is slowly sinking and the player must either help various survivors they encounter or follow clues to figure out the truth about the ship’s “accident”.
Players will take the role of Albert, Bruno, and Caroline who each have unique personalities as well as offer different views on whatever situation comes their way. During the game, players will need to search through rooms and head to higher levels before the room fills with water. While exploring, the player will enter battle and use weapons and items to attack the attacking beast. Additional actions include adventure mode and leveling up the characters.
Amamori Labs adds a comment that the team built this game as best they could without the necessary budget and resources. The game seems to be in good shape and the character illustrations look great. Item management RPG are always tough to balance for new teams, but I’m looking forward to diving in a seeing what this team has brought to the genre.
