Bandai Namco released a new trailer for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition that originally debuted to Anime Expo 2018 attendees on July 8.
The trailer shows gameplay from Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition which includes content from the unlocalized PlayStation 3 release. The title will include new quests, costumes, and battles.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition tells the story of a power struggle between an ancient technology known as the blastia and the Empire that controls it. Two character’s paths will intertwine into an adventure that most regard as one of the best stories told in the Tales series.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has been remastered with full HD graphics, new characters, and an expanded story. Additionally, new music tracks have been added as well as mini-games and new characters, Patty Fleur and Flynn Scifo, will be playable in this release.
Tales of Vesperia originally launched in North America in 2008 as an Xbox 360 exclusive. A PlayStation 3 version was developed and released only in Japan, which included many improvements that players will find in the Definitive Edition. So in short, western fans had to wait 10 years for a version of the game that they’ve been asking for, but it’s here now and that’s all that matters.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Winter 2018.
