Lab Zero Games released the first trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of Skullgirls 2nd Encore, release date not yet revealed.
During the trailer, viewers can get a preview of the game running on Switch hardware along with the reveal of new challenges, trials, and a survival mode. Evidently, publisher Skybound Games will be distributing the title both physically and digitally. The publisher has also worked on titles Oxenfree and The Walking Dead: March to War.
Skullgirls is a 2D fighting game featuring fourteen playable fighters who live a world known as Dark Deco. Fighting gameplay mimics classic arcade controls and combo systems as well as beautiful hand-drawn animations. Additionally, each character is featured in an illustrated story mode where players can learn more about their individual personalities and characteristics.
The gameplay controls have been mapped for newcomers to fighting games to easily pick up and execute combos, but also features deeper systems for the hardcore fighting community to master. Lab Zero Games describes the game as being “something for everyone, from fighting game newcomers to hardcore fans.”
Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version on the way.
