During Tokyo Game Show 2022, Konami announced Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. A 2023 launch is planned.

IGN interviewed long-time developers Yasuo Daikai, and Takahiro Sakiyama about the remaster process:
They confirmed that the localized scripts will be retooled compared to the original releases to better match the Japanese scripts. Additionally, Daikai stated that he “would really like to keep making more Suikoden games in the future,” though that seems to depend on fan support.
