Sega has officially announced that a Sonic X Shadow Generations-themed manga will be released via the October 2024 issue of CoroCoro Comic. Note that despite the name, this issue will be available for purchase next month.
Yuki Imada will write this series. He is known for being the author and artist of MINI 4 KING and Tengoku no Ragnarok. Details on the narrative of this upcoming manga were not provided, but new artwork of Shadow was shared, viewable below:
The title includes a remaster of the original Sonic Generations and newly remastered versions of 2D and 3D stages with updated visuals and bonus content. The new content features a brand-new Shadow campaign where his motivations and past are emphasized.
This release will feature Chaos rescue missions at every level and pinball gameplay in Casino Nights Zone. Further, “exclusive to PlayStation, players who buy the game on PS4 or PS5 will also receive bonus extended prologue animations with never-before-seen deleted scenes.” The game will also feature a new hub world for Shadow’s story that’s inspired by Sonic Frontiers, where new powers will lead to discovering new secrets.
Pre-orders for the physical edition will grant a Sonic Adventure Legacy Skin and Gerald Robotnik’s Journal detailing Shadow’s Creation.
The Digital Deluxe Edition will grant the Adventure Skin an additional level and skin or Shadow release in Holiday 2024, as well as skill points, an extra BGM pack, and a digital art book and soundtrack. The Terios skin is the bonus one.
