Humble Bundle has launched a new bundle featuring the Muv-Luv Alternative manga series. By paying $18 USD, users can obtain the seventeen volumes of this anthology.
Alternatively, paying lesser amounts will grant fewer volumes, while paying more than the $18 USD will provide extra funds for the Direct Relief charity.
The Muv-Luv visual novels have entered a Humble Bundle.
The series will debut on Switch in the West next week.
Muv-Luv is a visual novel series primarily known for its mechs and grim subject matter. The first entry embraced typical facets seen in high-school romance visual novels, but the darkness really creeps in in the second entry, Muv-Luv Unlimited. Alternative occurs after the events of Unlimited, and it is included in the first Muv-Luv.
All three entries follow protagonist Takeru, who, whether battling the strife of romantic daily life or world-threatening aliens, is usually surrounded by girls. The first title is a typical slice-of-life adventure with several romanceable love interests, though this facet becomes mitigated in the later entries in favor of a more all-encompassing narrative.
Muv-Luv, Muv-Luv Unlimited, and Muv-Luv Alternative are all available on PC.
Several sequels and spinoffs of the series have been made. Anime adaptations have also been produced, with the most recent being the second season of Alternative.
