Fans of art books rejoice: Capcom and Udon Entertainment have announced brand new books full of art from two of their most popular games.
The first of these two books to release, Monster Hunter Hunter Illustrations 3, collects artwork from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, the fourth generation of Capcom’s Monster Hunter series.
The artbook contains creature and character designs, armor and weapon overviews, rough sketches, and more. The hardcover art book will cost $54.99 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
Those more interested in Street Fighter or design may be more excited to hear about the upcoming release of How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design. The book will take a deep dive into the design process for all of the most iconic characters from Street Fighter, including raw concept art from Street Fighter V and a look back at classic Street Fighter and Final Fight games.
The 288-page hardcover collection will also include in-depth interviews, creator commentary, anatomy tips, sprite illustrations, costume designs, and rejected characters all from the very people who made Street Fighter the juggernaut that it is.
How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design will cost $49.99 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
Monster Hunter Illustrations 3 and How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design both release on October 20, 2020.
