Ahead of Gamescom, HyperX and HP Omen have some notable new products that update their brands’ presence. These new items will be the Omen 35L, HyperX QuadCast 2 & 2S, and the HyperX Alloy Rise 75 Wireless, which will be released and showcased at Gamescom.
More notably, in my opinion, the announcements also branch to the release of Omen-branded PC components and product lines, such as liquid cooler AIOs and internal fans. The new hardware is a testament to the Omen and HyperX brands’ stance on customizability, standing out, and gaming your way.
HyperX Alloy Rise 75 Wireless
If you are like me, you think the original Alloy Rise would have been great if it had been wireless. Lo and behold, HyperX has now released a variant that is 75% smaller and wirelessly compatible.
If you are unfamiliar with the Alloy Rise lineup, it is a series of keyboards that boast ultimate preference and aesthetic customizability. They have removable switches, a colored face plate, and even a little magnetic badge you can easily swap.
Some notable specs of this wireless device include the availability of Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C, as well as 1,500 hours of battery life with the RGB off and 80 hours with RGB on. You can also speak about a gasket-mounted system for more comfort, easy actuating presses, and an ambient RGB light sensor.
HyperX QuadCast 2 and 2S
HyperX does relatively well in the microphone category, especially with the QuadCast series. They now have new versions, and the only notable difference between the two, other than they both have improved audio, is that the 2S has customizable RGB.
Both mics offer multi-function dials for controls, tap-to-mute, four selectable polar patterns, removable shock mounts, and more.
Google Play Games Integration with Omen Gaming Hub
For any casual gamer who has just downloaded Omen Gaming Hub or has an Omen device, the Hub is now integrated with Google Play Games for easy access. OGH makes launching your games very easy, as Omen Gaming Hub will recognize available and downloaded games all in one place, but now it does this for Google Play.
New Pre-Build Omen 35L and Omen’s Line of PC Components
Among a pretty solid set of releases from Omen in the pre-build market, they have even more mid-size cases with a fresh new look. I’ve always liked the styling of their designs in the $1,200-$2,000 range, and these exteriors look just as nice, if not better, than ever. From black, white, or gray to even a choice of mesh or plexiglass front, Omen keeps it fresh with choices for all personalities.
More importantly, these Omen pre-builds presumably offer the most accessible and most customizable presentation, thus making the Omen 35L appeal to newcomers. We also see the new addition of Omen aftermarket components such as 240-360mm LCD AIO, 850-1000w PSUs, and internal RGB 120mm fans, all of which come in black and white.
Omen plans to fully integrate these parts into their pre-builds, allowing the customer to have thoughtless interchangeability. Thus, you don’t have to think twice about whether Omen parts work or fit in Omen desktops.
Lastly, Omen plans to release these products for general aftermarket purchases outside of Omen pre-builds, so it is interesting to see the direction of the Omen brand in the hardware and PC gaming market. It won’t be long before Omen releases even more brand-name parts and aligns with other PC hardware companies to compete.
