The Cooler Master Masterhub, which is always a mouth full, brings a new chapter to the streaming culture by providing a multi-faceted way to customize controls, overlays, transitions, and more. Using removable mag-safe modules, the base platform provided can adapt multiple different features, knobs, or switch devices adding a layer of intent behind each stream.
Luckily, I had the opportunity to try out the early stages of the Masterhub prior to public release. In the box, Cooler Master provided 5 modules and a base platform consisting of an array of mag-safe positions for various set-ups. The 5 modules consisted of a dial with a screen in the center that can be clicked, 3 dials that can be pressed with rgb rings, a set of 5 audio faders to mess with, one strip that contains 2 barrel dials, and a 5×3 “stream deck” like a set of RGB screen switches.
All of Masterhub’s modules serve a particular customer’s needs for different types of streams and complexities. To get into customization, you have to stray away from the Cooler Master Masterplus software and download their new program made specifically for the Masterhub, titled “MasterHUB.” This is where you can deep-dive into button screen design, macros, profiles, and more.
Obviously, there is also direct support for OBS, Stream Labs, Twitch, and MasterCTRL Lighting, which is Cooler Master’s light integration platform.
Generally speaking, I am looking forward to seeing how far the Cooler Master Masterhub can go, and if you want to learn even more about my short time with the Masterhub, you can watch our full feature preview unboxing here.
